Unika Balls: fun and health for your horses.

Unika has developed a completely new product that overturns and renews the concept of food supplements: these are Unika Balls, which represent much more than just a hobby for horses. Unika Balls come in the form of a sphere with a natural fiber rope that can be hung in the box or trailer for the horse to access throughout the day. Its function is not only to entertain the horse, but also to add important substances such as medicinal plants, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and other substances to its daily diet in a completely new way. We are more used to complementary foods in the form of powder or liquid that we add to the daily ration in the feeder, but Unika Balls completely upsets this concept, because it is suspended!

Unika Balls Endurance contains a high content of fatty raw materials, in particular rice flour, which is naturally rich in gamma oryzanol, a substance known to stimulate muscle growth during exercise. The energy provided by fatty raw materials is available quickly and also helps to keep the horse well hydrated during competitions. Electrolytes, completely soluble in water, balance excessive salt losses due to perspiration. Magnesium particularly reduces the incidence of the phenomenon called “Flutter” in tired horses. Amino acids help reduce the amount of muscle lactic acid, promoting intestinal motility.

Unika Balls also have other important characteristics: they are artisanal, made in Italy, composed of 93% vegetable ingredients, guaranteed without cereals or sugars, and rich in noble raw materials such as soy and rice. This is precisely the reason why they are also suitable for horses intolerant to cereals or following a low glycemic index diet and for competition horses which provide significant muscular effort and for which the intake of sugars is strongly discouraged because it would promote the production of lactic acid.
